THE 61st ANNUAL GOLD COAST FASHION AWARD SHOW

A couple of weeks ago, on September 21st, team tristinstyling attended the 61st Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show, which serves as the signature fundraising event for Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

The evening started with a competition among four emerging designers including Chris Gelinas, Michael De Paulo, Nha Khanh and Wai Ming. Audience members voted and designer Michael De Paulo’s red-carpet inspired collection was everyone’s favorite, so he ended up receiving the prestigious Gold Coast Fashion Award. He specializes in beautiful evening wear with an innovative edge, focusing his collection on sculptural silhouettes and geometric design.

The event raised more than $1.1 M to benefit Lurie Children’s Division of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. We also had the opportunity to interview Margaret Merritt, AKA, Neiman Marcus’ Runway Producer. Visit Ways of Style to read the interview and all about the amazing night.
