Get Bella’s Jacket From the Twilight Forest Scene

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

You know that forest scene in Twilight where Edward and Bella are talking about…

Wait…

I might spoil it for those who haven’t seen the movie yet…

Anyway, there’s a scene in the forest where Bella is wearing the same jacket she’s got on in some of the the movie posters (one of them pictured left).

It’s adorable with a roomy “layered look fakie” hood and big pockets.

To get one for yourself, you can place a pre-order at:

- fredflare.com for just $64 and
- lulus.com for $79

How-to Make Raquel Allegra Inspired Pieces

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

I’m a huge fan of Raquel Allegra’s distressed pieces. When she was unable to find what she wanted at thrift shops, she shopped L.A. county jail and found t-shirts that were worn in just as she needed them to be. That’s right, all her pieces are made of t-shirts. Raquel distresses each creation by hand and turns each incarcerated t-shirt into a free flowing beautiful piece that drapes wonderfully over any outfit.

My favorite piece, the Shredded Caftan (pictured left) is retailing for $1,190. With other pieces like the ones seen in the screen shot below ranging from $198 – $590.

Thank goodness for Camille’s “Shredded tee tutorial” on Youtube below (scroll to the bottom of this blog entry to watch it)!

SHUELLA The Shoe Umbrella

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Rain boots are cute and fun to wear but what about high heel and wedge lovers… Better yet, what’s a girl to do when the rain pours unexpectedly and rain boots aren’t an arms length away? SHUELLA.

Shuella was created by founder, Rebecca Miller when she had a difficult time finding something stylish to protect her shoes from rain or inclement weather.

The best part about Shuella galoshes is that they fold up and fit in your purse or briefcase so it’s ready for rain when your outfit isn’t! Bye bye clunky rain boots!

For a limited time, shuella.com is offering daily candy special for free domestic shipping and a discounted price of $34.95 (Regular price is $49.95).

Hanger 18 Twit Picks

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

When we revamped this blog page, we added the twitter badge to the right column so readers can get live updates on this page and on facebook of hot shopping deals at local boutiques and department stores.

We hit Lincoln Square to see what we kinds of deals we could twitter for all you bargain hunters out there and couldn’t resist blogging about our favorite finds…

Two of our favorite collections for the day, Foxy and Loungefly were found at hanger 18 where the service was great and the buys were too cute to pass up!

Pictured below on the left are two necklaces from Foxy jewelry’s Enchanted Forest collection. On the right, is the Loungefly Sparrow Anchor collection clutch, and wallets in front of the weekend bag which I had to get for myself because it’s the perfect size for my MacBook.

I nabbed the last one so please call the store and see if it’s still have it ordered before heading over there.

Impress Your Clyde with Bonnie’s Look

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Rumor has it that Actress Hilary Duff is set to take on the role of Bonnie in a another movie called “The Story Of Bonnie And Clyde”

The film is said to be about Bonnie and Clyde, the famed criminals who captured the attention of the press and readers during public enemy era.

In May 2008, Duff appeared in Allure Magazine’s Bonnie and Clyde inspired photoshoot (pictured left) which shows how much she can resemble a young Faye Dunaway as Bonnie.

Production is set to begin in April.

If this is all true, I’m excited to see what the wardrobe team is going to put together.
