Coffee & Chai in Coach at Restoration Hardware Chicago

For the last couple of months, we’ve been drooling – more than usual – over the images of a few of our favorite Foodies’ IG accounts every time they visit Restoration Hardware Chicago. So, when deciding on what to do and where to go last Thursday, it was a no brainer; we needed to do lunch at the 3 Arts Club, followed by wandering the multilevel store with coffee (and chai) in hand.

We arrived around 10 am (Free Valet guys! Just saying!) and couldn’t keep ourselves from taking pictures. Every room is intricately detailed, from the bowls on the end tables to the lighting throughout the store. Upon entering the first floor, we were welcomed by living room vignettes and the 3 Arts Club Cafe, which sits in the courtyard under a glass and steel skylight. The second floor showcases bed and bath. The third floor has children’s furnishings and RH’s new teen line, while the fourth is a contemporary space adorned with modern art for sale. The top floor is a beautiful rooftop featuring outdoor furniture.

Restoration Hardware Chicago is located in the historic 3 Arts Club building of Chicago’s Gold Coast. In an interview with Crain’s Chicago Business, CEO Gary Friedman described this new wave outlet as “pushing boundaries in order to abandon archaic, soulless retail and show some empathy for humanity.” He also said, “The Chicago location is the most controversial and ambitious project we’ve ever undertaken. A lot of people thought we were crazy.” After seeing this beautiful space, we’d have to say that RH Chicago is the perfect example of following your gut and listening to the little whispers that come from your heart. We promise that a visit here is one you won’t regret.

They also had a few fashion accessories like the following beautiful cashmere infinity scarves. Aren’t these colors perfect for winter?

After all the ‘cardio’ we did walking around the store, we had to eat. Their food is exquisite and extremely affordable. In case you don’t feel the need to sit, the 3 Arts Club includes a coffee shop, restaurant and wine bar. We had the Grilled Cheese, the RH Scramble and the Baby Arugula Salad. After stuffing our faces, we were so full that we didn’t have space for dessert and instead opted for delicious coffee (for me) and chai (for Christine). No worries, because we will definitely be back for more and will just have to do dessert next time.

You can shop Christine’s look at the end of this post.

Her ensemble consists of the ‘applied pocket dress‘ by Coach, a grey fedora, OTK flat boots from Forever 21 (that she nabbed for under $50!), HERMES Chamonix Tadelakt Illusion Bracelet, HERMES 18k Rose Gold Collier de Chien PM Ring, & CARTIER 18k Pink Gold 5.5 mm Love Ring

The dress is from the Fall 2015 Coach Collection and it’s to die for! It’s made out of woven silk, woven viscose and wool-cotton knit with two patch pockets and two hidden on-seam pockets as well. It has a perfect A-line cut and it fits perfectly because of the Italian silk flawlessly juxtaposed with a heathered knit fabric from a premiere Japanese mill. The two winsome applied pockets and a swingy inverted pleat add texture, depth and movement to this fit-and-flare little number. Best part though? It’s on MAJOR SALE right now!
